

James Ronald “Ronnie” Lamb, 67, of Darien, Georgia passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Southeast Georgia Health System . A native of Appling County, Georgia, he had been a resident of McIntosh County for the past 67 years. Mr. Lamb was born to the late William Tell Lamb and the late Mildred Elizabeth Roberson Lamb. He was a 1966 graduate of Darien High School. He had been employed during his working career with the Ford Dealership and the Georgia National Guard before his employment with Darien Tire. Mr. Lamb was a member of The First Baptist Church in Darien. He was also a member of the Live Oak Lodge No. 137 F.& A.M., The American Legion Post 137, McIntosh Rod & Gun Club and he was a Shriner for many years. Mr. Lamb will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Alonza and Leona Lamb, maternal grandparents James Lester and Maggie Elizabeth Roberson, aunt Clyde Thomas, three sisters Edith M. Watson, Erma Jean O’Cain, and Barbara Nell Ryals, and brother Carl Lamb.
Survivors include his wife Pamella Lamb of Darien, GA; three daughters Lori K. Luisi and husband Mike and Carol L. Simpson and husband Rob both of Cumming, GA and Heather N. Spannuth and husband Troy of Darien, GA; three sisters Nelda Yvonne Ryals and husband Arnold of Jacksonville, FL, Cherryl June Beecher and husband Franklin and Brenda Gail Lightsey both of Darien, GA; four granddaughters Amanda K. Williams and husband Josh, Allison M. Luisi, Madison D. Simpson all of Cumming, GA and Jameslee E. Spannuth of Darien, GA; six grandsons Tyler C. Koller, Justin M. Luisi, Austin R. Simpson, Dakota J. Simpson, Lucas L. Simpson all of Cumming, GA and Damien A. Spannuth of Hilliard, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6:00 P.M-8:00 P.M. at Live Oak Lodge #137 F.& A.M. in Darien, GA.
A Graveside service with military honors and masonic rites will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, 11:00 A.M., at Whispering Pines Cemetery in Darien, GA with Reverend Abe Brown officiating. Interment will follow the service.
