

James Randle Sears, Jr., 84, of Brunswick, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Monday, June 21, 2010 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. J. W. Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Steven Flowers, Thomas Underwood, Leslie Rooks, Thomas Sears, Dylan Tanner, David Sirmans and Ricky O’Quinn serving as pallbearers.
Born March 29, 1926 in Coffee County, Georgia to the late Jim and Mary Sears, he was a retired brick mason and a US Air Force Veteran of WWII, serving as a paratrooper. Mr. Sears was a longtime resident of Glynn County and was an avid fisherman and hunter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Lynda E. Sears.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Musgrove Sears, two sons, Jimmy R. Sears and wife Patsy and Randal W. Sears all of Brunswick, four grandchildren, Thomas Sears, Elisha Sears, Richard Sears and Kelly McCollum, five great grandchildren, a sister, Vivian White of Millwood and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
