Janet Stephens Ellis

Janet S. Ellis, 63, of Brunswick, departed this life Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Tuesday May 3, 2016 in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County. Michael Fantine, Allen Fantine, Justin Ellis, Julian Ellis, Victor Sanders, and Timothy Chasteen will serve as pallbearers.

Born September 16, 1952 in Glynn County to the late James Isaac and Melba M. Stephens, she was a graduate of Brunswick high School and lifelong resident of Glynn County. Ms. Ellis was a courtesy car driver for Endicott Buick-Cadillac-Mitsubishi and was of the Baptist Faith. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Ellis.

Survivors include two sons, William Ellis and wife Heather of Jesup, James Ellis and Selena Simpson, a daughter, Stephanie Chasteen and husband Timothy all of Brunswick, eight grandchildren, Ansley Ellis, Tyler Ellis, Julian Ellis, Kaylyn Tanner, Justin Ellis, Michael Fantine, Chelsea Fantine, and Allen Fantine, several great grandchildren, a brother, James Stephens of Brunswick, a sister Elaine Wheat of Jesup, several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
