

Janice Louise Warsing a resident of Brunswick and formerly of Smithfield, Rhode Island entered peacefully into Heaven’s Gates on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the age of seventy-one. She was born in Calhoun, Georgia the daughter of the late M. L. Dale and the late Mary Nell Dale. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John G. Dale.
Janice followed her father’s Air Force postings during her early childhood and teenage years. She always enjoyed reminiscing of her childhood years spent in Japan. She graduated from Oscoda High School in Michigan. Then she graduated from the University of Central Florida and Sarah Lawrence College. She was a public school Biology Teacher for a few years and retired as a Genetic Counselor with the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
She had resided in Brunswick for Seventeen years and was an active volunteer at the International Seafarers Center and the Friends of the Library Bookstore. She was a skilled baker and enjoyed sharing her creations with others. She was also an avid reader and was known to have multiple books going at once. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her fond memories are her husband of thirty-four years, W. Allan Warsing; step mother, Sara Frances Dale; stepsons, Allan C. Warsing and Christopher J. Warsing and their respective families; a stepdaughter-in-law, Kathleen Warsing. Several cousins also survive.
All who knew Janice were aware of the special place animals held in her heart, in particular the affection she had for the many dogs and cats she rescued through the years. They all became part of the family.
Janice’s request was there to be no local services. A family interment will be at a later date in Pennsylvania.
