Born on March 9th, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Walter and Jean Guskoski. She spent her adult life supporting and loving her 3 children; Donna, Marty, and Bobby, while faithfully serving the students and staff of Levittown Public Schools. She is survived by her adoring children; Donna Stillman (Nicholas), Martin Roddini (Ariana), and Robert Roddini (Jill) and her six grandchildren; Lauryn, Jenna, Cortlyn, Christopher, Ava, and Christian. She is also survived by her loving sister and best friend, Patricia Rao (Peter).
Joan’s kindness and warmth disarmed those around her. Each Spring, as flowers begin to bloom, we are reminded of her love for gardening, and the positive growth she inspired in all who knew her. Joan’s love for her friends and family was nothing less than transforming and most importantly, unconditional. She died never truly knowing the great amount of lives that she touched in a positive way. She was, is, and always will be, one of the greatest women to walk the face of this earth.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, August, 5th, at 10:30am, at St. Frances Day Chantal, in Wantagh, New York.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
