John Calvin Barlow passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. He was 69 years old. He was the son of the late Fred Burton Barlow and Gean Clontz Barlow. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Dwight Wesley Barlow.
After graduating from High Point Central High School, John joined the service and served his Country honorably. He is a Vietnam Veteran who was stationed in Vietnam for 18 months. Once his tour was over, he returned to the states. John had a love for people and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help anyone in a time of need.
John is survived by a daughter, Kim Cline (Greg) of Thomasville, North Carolina; two sisters, Naomi Robinson and Lillian Todd both from Conway, South Carolina; a friend, Janet Brumigan who he adored and took care of him through his illness; two grandsons, Brad and Wes Cline. John had many nieces and nephews that he was very close with and loved him very much.
