

John (Butch) Henry Browning, III, 68, of Brunswick, Ga., passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at his residence. He retired from Brunswick Pulp and Paper as a Brownstock Operator, and served in Vietnam as a veteran of the United States Army. Butch was a kind and generous man with a wonderful sense of humor that was reflected in his beautiful drawings and cartoons.
Mr. Browning is a lifelong resident of Brunswick, GA, born July 8, 1947 to the late John Henry Browning, II and the late Leila Shirley Lynn Browning. In addition to Mr. Browning’s parents, his sister Frances precedes him in death.
Survivors include Mr. Browning’s children, Butch Browning of Singer Island, FL and Jennifer Flick of Brunswick, GA; three grandchildren, Macy Flick, Aiden Eckert, and Bralen Eckert all of Brunswick, GA; and siblings, Nancy Miller, Michael, Steve, Patrick, Tommy, and Clifford all of Brunswick, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2015, followed by a graveside service at Palmetto Cemetery 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating. Interment with military honors following the service.
