

John Henry Daley, 84, of St. Simons Island, GA died Wednesday the 24th of April 2013 at Magnolia Manor. Services will be held at 3pm on April 28, 2013 at St. William Catholic Church on St. Simons Island.
Mr. Daley was born the 25th of September 1928 in the Bronx, New York to the late John Henry Daley and the late Mary E. Larkin Daley. He was a graduate of St. John’s University in New York City. Mr. Daley had been a resident of St. Simons Island, GA since 1995. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1951 – 1953. He worked in public relations for USSteel Corporation for thirty years. Mr. Daley was an avid golfer and spent many years working at the Hampton Club Golf Resort on St. Simons Island. Mr. Daley was a passionate sports fan, and his favorite teams were the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son John (“Jack”) Daley and daughter Kerry Daley Dunsmore.
Survivors include his loving wife, Constance Dunn Daley of St. Simons Island, GA; his siblings, Patricia A. Daley of Washington, DC and Gerald Daley of Milford, CT, his children William “Bill” Daley (Lisa) of St. Simons Island, Wendy Daley of New York, Thomas Daley (Stefanie) of St. Petersburg, FL, Nancy Daley Yurek (James) of Scottsdale, AZ, Marjorie Daley of St. Simons Island. Mr. Daley is also survived by 15 loving grandchildren.
Family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
