Born December 26, 1951 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late E.D. and Colleen W. Gornto, he was a lifelong resident of Glynn County and retired from the City of Brunswick. Mr. Gornto was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Shannon Gornto and Shane Farris.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Johnette P. Gornto, a daughter, Kelly Lynn Farris, three grandchildren, Olivia Godley, Kelcee Hope, and Presley “Bubba” Farris, a brother, E.D. Gornto III, a sister, Patricia Wells all of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews.
