Juanita Yawn Moody

Mrs. Moody is the daughter of the late Carlos E. Yawn and Bertie D. Yawn. She was born in Appling County, Georgia on December 26, 1928. She lived the majority of her life in Brunswick, Georgia until the last 10 months, which she lived in Gray. She as a graduate of Appling County High School. Her career led her to various jobs of serving the public in many ways. She retired from Glynn County Regional Hospital.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, friend and aunt. Anyone who knew her loved her and always received a blessing from being with her. She will be greatly missed and while Alzheimers Disease controlled her life for the last twelve years, that sweet and loving spirit still shone through. She was loved dearly and her impression upon our lives will never be forgotten.

Mrs. Moody is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, "D. L." Moody; her loving parents, a wonderful grandson, Carlos Michael Moody, Jr.;

sisters, Susie and Beatrice, and her brothers, Lince and Cleaton.

Surviving her are her sons and their wives, Carlos M. Moody, Sr. (Vikki), Larry E. Moody, (Eve). Grandchildren, Terrell Moody, (Brandi), Joshua Moody (Laura Beth), Jennifer Meeks (Will). Her step Grandchildren, Ben Green (Michelle), Ashley Taylor, Michael Taylor (Kay Lynne), Tiffany Taylor, Destiney Ford and Tyler Ford. Great Grandchildren, Megan Banard (Tanner), Katie Moody, Cameron Moody, Anna Meeks and Luke Meeks. Step Great Grandchildren are, Jaden Green, Jeremiah Taylor, Elsworth Taylor, SA' Faya Taylor , Dominique Taylor, Devin Taylor and Madison Ford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to their local Alzheimer's Foundation. Thank you.

Services for Mrs. Moody will be in the Chapel of EDO MILLER AND SONS FUNERAL HOME in Brunswick, Ga on Wednesday, December 16th. Visitation will be from 1 -2pm prior to her CELEBRATION OF LIFE at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Brunswick. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of all arrangements.
