

Kay was born on August 20, 1946 the second child of Wright and Jean Parker. She was a long time emploee of Parker Kaufman Realtors and Insurers most recently serving as Treasurer.
Kay is survived by her children, Kerry Green Richardson (Patrick) of Savannah and Mace Green (Amy) of Charlotte, grandchildren Rin and Laine Richardson of Savannah and Kaylyn and Parker Green of Charlotte. She is also survived by her siblings: Ginger Boswell, Bill Parker, Leila Brumit and Joe Parker of Brunswick, Harry Parker of Waverly and Terry True of Deltona, Florida, her brother-in-law, Richard Green (Diane) of Salinas, California as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and several Godchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Mike Green and her parents Jean and Wright Parker.
Kay was a 1964 graduate of Glynn Academy and still had many dear friends from those days. She also attended Brenau Women’s College. Kay was a communicant of the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church and served in many capacities at the school when her children were students. Kay had a love for life and her family. She was a loyal friend and loved many. She spent much free time at her happy place in “Fern” where she loved to walk on the beach and listen to the waves.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Thurssday 3/15/12, at St Francis Xavier Church. The officiant will be Father Leo Kennedy and Monsignor James Costingan.
Pallbearers will be: Will Parker, Bo Parker, Ethan True, John A. Tuten, Eddie Lambright and Bill Brunson
Interment will be at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday 3/15/12 at the residence, 117 Palmera Lane, Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School, P. O. Box 30460, Savannah, Ga., 31410 or St. Gabriel Catholic School, 3028 Providence Rd, Charlotte, N.C., 28211 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
