Kevin was born to Marvin Dean and Luella Crowder Dean, of Austinville, Virginia. He attended Fort Chiswell High School and was part of the class of 1980. Kevin adored his classmates and maintained many of these friendships throughout his adult life.
He was a gifted man of many talents. He was a master carpenter, he was a musician, he loved to joke and laugh and had the ability to light up any room he entered. But his greatest and most treasured talent was how he made each person in his life feel like they were the most important. He was a best friend to all. Kevin loved his family and would make a point to tell them that he loved and appreciated them as often as possible, whenever possible with a hug, but with distance, it was frequently a text, a nickname and a YouTube video.
Kevin was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Graham Dean, Matthew Crowder and Annie Crowder. His parents, Marvin Dean and Luella Crowder Dean. Sisters, Rebecca (Becky) Dean and Susan Cole. Nieces Sheila Dean and Leslie Patton and nephew Mike Stone. They were all waiting at the gates of Heaven to welcome Kevin.
He is survived by his wife, PJ Hamilton. His children, Athena Galvan, Amanda Dean, Matthew Dean, Courtney Alexander, Marty Hamilton, Nina Hamilton-Jenkins, and Nicole Hamilton. His grandchildren, Alex Norman, Erica Deleon, Belle Deleon, Lindan Galvan, Thatcher Robertson, Sabre Robertson, Raphael Lozano, Lilly Dean, M.J. Dean, Bella Dean, Zachary Roberts and Abby Alexander. Siblings, Jerry Dean, Kenny Dean, Robert Dean and Janet Privatsky. Nephews, Rob Dean, K.W. Dean, Chris Cook, Mason Cole, and Derek Eppright. Nieces, Renee Dean and Deana Edwards.
Memories, adventures, inside jokes, and nicknames with Kevin will hold a special place in the heart of those whose lives he touched. The family has asked donations to be made to Tunnel of Towers foundation in lieu of flowers.
