

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10a.m. on the public beach access lawn next to 630 Beachview Dr. on St. Simons. The family requests beach casual attire. They will receive guests at St. Simons United Methodist’s Thorpe building following the service.
His ashes will be spread by immediate family in the St. Simons Sound on Sunday at 10a.m. Others are welcome to join via their own boats at that time.
Born June 12, 1980 in Tifton, Georgia to Lawrence “Larry” Wesley Rogers, Sr. and Norma Anne A. Rogers, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy, Class of 1998. With many academic honors and achievements, including being inducted into the Golden Key Society and studying abroad, he graduated from The University of Georgia with a BA Degree in Business in 2002. He lived and worked abroad for almost a decade. In recent years, he carried much pride in his work as a Yacht Broker and Marine Professional for his own company, Boat WorX. Wes was,also, President of Frederica Yacht Club. He enjoyed music, traveling, scuba diving, and most of all he loved sailing the ocean blue with what he called “his best crew - his crew” - his wife and kids.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebekah Rogers, and his father in law, Bernd Faerber. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Corinna Rogers, his two children, Clara and Wyatt, his Vizsla Rosie, and his parents, Larry and Anne Rogers, all of St. Simons Island; his sister, Laura Kirkland, and husband, Sean, of Marietta, GA; his mother in law, Cornelia Stadel, of Mullrose, Germany, and some special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Youth Sailing Program via the Golden Isles Sailing Club in his memory. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
