Margaret J. "Boots" Hutchinson

Margaret Jane “Boots” Hutchinson, 88, a longtime resident of Darien, GA and formerly of Beeville, TX, departed this life Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Senior Care in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 1Pm Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Darien with Father Ted Clarkson officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from noon until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery in Darien.

Ms. Hutchinson worked in the Darien Shoe Factory for many years before she started work at Rich Sea Pak and retired in 1992. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, where she kept the nursery for many years. She loved children and was an avid supporter of Feed The Hungry Children. She loved Mexican Food, taking care of her children and most of all line dancing. She brought joy, laughter and love to all her family and friends.

Ms. Hutchinson was preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Buck Hawkins, two sisters, Hazel Hawkins and Peggy Hawkins, her first husband, Clifford G. Brockman, her second husband, Guy E. Hutchinson, and a daughter, Buckie Hutchinson LeFluer.

Survivors include six children, Janet Shropshire of Thomasville, Priscilla VanDivner (Tom) of Darien, Charlotte Burgess of Darien, Nancy Mauney (Kim) of Darien, Clifford G. Brockman, Jr. (Traci) of Statesboro, and Rodney Scott Hutchinson of Mauertown, VA, 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
