Born March 22, 1924, in Richmond, California to the late Allan Thomas and Lois Celia Stinson McDonald, she retired as Chapter Director from California State Electronics Association. She had been a resident of Glynn County since 1979 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brunswick. She was a member of the Garden Club, Rose Society, and a volunteer at Manna House. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Richard Gooch, a son, William Gooch, and a sister, Audrey Ames.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard Gooch and Gregory Gooch of Brunswick, four grandchildren, Catherine Gooch-Coolidge, Billie Jean Gooch, Melissa Gooch, and Marilyn Gooch, eight great-grandchildren, Trenton Johnson, Emma Johnson, Kevin Gooch, Melissa Gooch, Wesley Gooch, Tiberius Buffington, and Celia Buffington.
