

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina. A tribute to an honorable life well lived will be given by all the family and friends who attend.
Mrs. Crutchfield was a native of Washington, D.C. She was a devoted wife to her husband of Forty-Seven years and relocated throughout the United States during her Husband’s career in the United States Marine Corp. However, she had resided in Saint Simons Island for the last several years since her and her husband’s retirement. She was the daughter of the late William A. and Loretta Ruth. Mrs. Crutchfield was a retired secretary with Saint Vincent DePaul Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Crutchfield is survived by her loving husband, 1st Sgt. Jerry D. Crutchfield; a daughter, Chere Garner “Steve” of Saint Simons Island, Georgia; a son, Captain Colt Crutchfield of Fort Campbell Kentucky; two granddaughters, Alexis and Avery Garner; one grandson, Sam Garner. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. However, her family will have many treasured memories to cherish forever.
