Michael Elmond King

Michael was born on September 16, 1958, in Alma, Georgia and relocated to Brunswick from Dixie Union, Georgia, with his family when he was eight years old. Michael graduated in 1976 from Brunswick High School.

Michael enjoyed a lifelong career in the building and construction industry. He enjoyed everything “outside” even if it included working in the yard. He enjoyed his sports, watching and supporting both hometown football teams, college football (UGA) and the Atlanta Braves. He previously enjoyed attending Centerpoint Church. Michael will be missed by many along with his sense of humor which he loved to direct to those close and dear to him.

Michael is survived by the love of his life, Rebecca “Becky” Sapp King of Brunswick. He is also survived by his Mother, Shirley Lee King and brother, Brian Lee King (Cathy) and niece, Lauren Carter (Wesley), brother-in-law, Richard Sapp (Terry) all of Brunswick, sister-in-law, Jennifer S. Bledsoe (Jeff) of Edmond, Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Elmond King and father-in-law, Bobby V. Sapp

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Edo Miller Funeral Home. Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. in Chapel at Edo Miller Funeral Home.
