Micheal Collins

Micheal Collins, 49, of Waynesville, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at his residence. Graveside rites will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Palmetto Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie E. Thrower officiating.

Born February 2, 1961 in Monterey California to John R. Collins and Mary Edna Miller Grassi, he was a heavy equipment operator and worked with Precision Paving. Mr. Collins, was a graduate of Tallulah Falls School and received several technical degrees from Coastal College. He was a member of Norwich Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his son. He was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Collins.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Grassi of Shellman Bluff, his father, John Collins and wife Marsha of St. Simons Island, a son, Jon Micheal Collins of Waynesville, two sisters, Robin Teston and husband Terry, and Casey Pace and Husband Craig all of Brunswick, a niece, Katie Collins and a nephew Stephen Tindall.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening August 24, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. www.edomillerandsonsfuneralhome.com
