Neta Sharpe Grinstead

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Darien United Methodist Church, 201 Franklin Street, Darien, Ga., with Reverend Michael Huling officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Mrs. Grinstead was born April 27, 1924 in Reidsville, Ga., daughter of the late Boyett H. Sharpe, and the late Minnie Kennedy Sharpe. She was an office Administer for the Darien Ford Motor company retiring after sixty years.

Mrs. Grinstead was treasurer and a member of the Darien United Methodist Church. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother that leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.

In addition to Mrs. Grinstead’s parents she is preceded in death by her husband Don Ruy Grinstead; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three sons Charles Andrew “Andy” Grinstead and wife Madeline of Darien, GA, Mark Grinstead and wife Beverly of Kuna Idaho; and Greg Grinstead of Darien, GA; four grandchildren Sandee G. Kovacs, Gary M. Grinstead, Julia G. Padgett, and Adam Grinstead; four great- grandchildren Kendall and Kaitlyn Kovacs, Brighton Padgett. Millie Grinstead, and other relatives and friends.

Family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Darien United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 681, Darien, GA 31305, or to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
