

Anne S. Spaulding, 72, of Brunswick, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto cemetery with Darren A. Jones, Gary B. Jones, Keith A. Griffin, Mike Harvey, Donald Rook, Wayne Harris, Raymond Raines, and Shawn Wiggins serving as pallbearers.
Born May 5, 1939 in Walterboro, South Carolina to the late James and Eunice G. Sires, she was the former co-owner of Spaulding Convalescent Services. She had also been an associate with Belk and JC Penney department stores. She was of the Baptist Faith and had been a resident of Glynn County since 1980. Mrs. Spaulding enjoyed shopping, reading magazines and especially spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William M. Breland.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Leonard B. Spaulding, of Brunswick, a son, James E. Breland, of Charleston, SC, four step daughters, Angel Harris of Brunswick, Sonya Marie Raines of Brunswick, Kara Wainwright of Brantley County, and Connie Miller of Atlanta, two granddaughters, Candice Rook and Amy Wiggins, both of Darien, seven step grandchildren, Corey Driggers, Rachel Raines, Matthew Sigler, Ashley Clark, Dillon Hodge, Levi James and Cody Harris, three great grandchildren, and one sister, Betty Griffin of Beaufort, SC.
