

Graveside services for Patsy E. Hathaway, 71, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at Brunswick Memorial Park. Service to be officiated by Pastor Randy Collins from Northside Baptist Church Darien, Ga. Pallbearers are Paul Luchetti.; Andrew Mills, David Hathaway, Christian Burkhart, Eddie Richardson and Joey Corlette. Honorary Pallbearers are Kim Eric Mills, David Ramalho and Dr. Paul Mansfield of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave in Brunswick.
Mrs. Hathaway went to meet her Lord & Savior Christ Jesus when she passed away peacefully Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida with her son by her side after a short illness. Patsy E. Hathaway was born September 8, 1944 in Glennville, Georgia, the daughter of Lester and Junie Mae Lynn. She was united in marriage to Franklin David Hathaway on March 10, 1961 in Brunswick, Georgia. They were married 54 years. Patsy was a 17-year appendiceal cancer survivor but did not pass away from this disease. Hallelujah, praise God!!
Patsy received her secretarial degree from Brunswick College in Brunswick, Georgia. She worked for the Coastal Area MH/MR/SA Center as an administrative assistant prior to medically retiring. Before attending college, Patsy was a consummate mother and homemaker where she raised her children, taught them how important faith, family and the love of Jesus are. In her home love had no end. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her most favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Hathaway attended church at The Village Chapel in Cape Coral, Florida. Prior to moving to Florida at the end of 2014 she was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Darien, Georgia, where she attended services with family and friends. She also was a past-member of the Northside Baptist Church of Brunswick, Georgia, where she and her family attended for numerous years.
Patsy’s love endures forever through her devoted and loving husband, Franklin David Hathaway of Cape Coral, Florida, son David Hathaway and daughter-n-law Sheila Hathaway of Etowah, NC, Daughter Carol Hathaway Mills and son-n-law Kim Eric Mills of Cape Coral, FL and their two children Andrew and Erica Mills. Patsy is also survived by her 4 sisters, Josephine Bradley of Townsend, Ga; Mary Corlette of Darien, Ga; Nancy McCollum of Brunswick, Ga and Catherine Richardson of Darien, Ga and her brother Wade Lynn of Darien, Ga. She is also survived by her 6 sister-n-laws, Bonnie Lynn and Vivian Lynn both of Darien, Ga; Neadeen Caler of Brunswick, Ga, Lynteen Stewart of Middleburg, Fl, Mary Sanders of Brunswick, Ga and Francis Strickland of Colorado Springs, Co; 6 brother-n-laws; Gene Bradley Townsend, Ga; Joseph Ernest Corlette, Eddie Richardson both of Darien, Ga and Bobbie McCollum of Brunswick, Ga, Tommy Stewart of Middleburg FL and Bobbi Strickland of Colorado Springs, Co and her 24 nieces and nephews. In addition to immediate family, Patsy is survived by her best friend Jean Holcomb of Brunswick, Ga who she claimed as her sister as well as her two “adopted” sons, Christian Burkhart of Jacksonville, FL and David Ramalho of London, KY.
She was preceded in death by her beautiful granddaughter, Brittany Marie Hathaway in 1993. She was also predeceased by her parents Lester and Junie Mae Lynn, brother’s Lanis and William “Billy” Lynn all of McIntosh County, GA
