

Mr. Marshall is a naïve of Cornith, Ky., born the 2nd of January 1925. He is the son of the late Harold Edward Marshall and the late Beulah Grace McGill. Mr. Marshall is a graduate of Georgetown College in Kentucky, and a graduate of UGA, receiving his Master Degree in Education. He has been a resident of Glynn County since 1967, where he was employed by the Glynn County Board of Education, as a basketball coach from 1967-1969, and teaching drivers education from 1969 until retirement in 1985.
Mr. Marshall is a veteran of the United States Army serving during the WWII conflict. He is a member of the VFW Post # 2588, where he was past Post Commander, Secretary and Treasure.
Mr. Marshall loved spending time with his family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is an avid basketball fan especially the Kentucky Wildcats. He leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife of 62 years, Glenna W. Marshall of Brunswick, GA; two daughters Debbie Greene and Valarie Marshall; a son Greg Marshall all of Brunswick, GA; three grandchildren Kathy ( Sammy ) Dowling of Ravon, GA, Jennifer ( Chris ) Cuthrell of Belhaven, N.C., and Jocelyn Cahoon of Brunswick, GA; eight great-grandchildren; a sister Doris Piles of Dry Ridge, KY; and several other family members.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating. Interment following the service at Chapel Park Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers are Danny Harvey, Harry Savage, Jack Coty, Bob Bouchard, Dave Barber, and Jerry Kennedy.
Honorary pallbearers Troy Jones, Gilbert Brantley, Harvin Carter, Donna Cutler, Greg Strickland, Jeff Morgan, Gale Rogers, and the VFW Post #2588.
