Paula Anita Smith

Paula Anita Smith, 82, of Brunswick departed this life Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Stanfill officiating.

Born October 23, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Harry Charles Parker Sr., and Juanita F. Parker she had lived most of her life in Glynn County, and was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1959. She was a member of College Place Methodist Church. She was secretary Treasurer of Southern Contractors of Glynn, a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a great grandchild, a brother, Robert Parker and two sisters, Jennifer Nix and Ann Keen.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill Smith of Brunswick, three children, Stephanie Fullard and husband Jimmy of Brunswick, Selina Ribron and husband Ronnie of Nahunta, and William “Smitty” Smith Jr. and wife Wendy of Chesterfield, MI, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister, Emily Polmanteer of Brunswick, a brother, Harry Parker, Jr. and wife Sally of Brunswick and a special nephew, David Keen and wife Karen.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon September 19, 2023 from 1pm until 2 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to College Place Methodist Church, or Hospice of The Golden Isles. www.edomillerandsons.com
