Raffaella Maria Kelso

Raffaella M. Kelso, 81, of St. Simons Island, died Monday, January 24, 2011 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Memorial services will be held at 11AM Thursday, January 27, 2011 at St. William Catholic Church with Monsignor John E.A. Kenneally officiating.

Born October 5, 1929 in Milan, Italy, she was retired from payroll operations at FLETC. A resident of St. Simons Island since 1975, Mrs. Kelso was a member of St. William Catholic Church. She was also a member of The Navy League, was an active member of the Friendship Force International, Cassina Garden Club, and member of The Sea Island Club. She enjoyed travel, dancing and socializing with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Franca Bocca.

Survivors include her husband, William M. Kelso of St. Simons Island, a son Leslie G. Moore and wife Fran of Snellville, GA, two grandsons, Andrew Moore and wife Amanda, and Scott Moore, and two great grandchildren, Taylor Moore and Austin Moore.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Golden Isles or St. William Catholic Church.
