Randy Wayne Griffis

Randy Wayne Griffis, 52, of Brunswick, departed this life Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Panama City Beach, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, April 29, 2016 at Golden Isles Church of God with Rev. Ray Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with Frank Harris, David Hassler, Quint Bunkley, Mike Bessent, Tim Gaughf and Butch Bishop serving as pallbearers.

Born October 8, 1963 in Chatham County, Georgia to Joseph R. and Joyce S. Griffis, he was a graduate of Pierce County High School Class of 1982. Mr. Griffis had spent most of his life as a resident of Glynn County and was a sales representative for Ira Higdon Grocery Company. He was a member of Golden Isles Church of God, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed NASCAR, camping and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph R. Griffis, and a son Joey Griffis.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Griffis, a sister, Dianne Cramer and husband Rusty, all of Brunswick, five grandchildren, Jake Griffis, Landon Griffis, Kaleb Griffis, Aayden O’Neal, and Brayln Blount, three nieces, Candi Lewis and husband Zach, Caitlin Prescott, and Kenzie Marie White, a daughter, Leslie Blount, several aunts and uncles and cousins, a special friend Tracy Dickerson of Lenox, and many extended family and friends.
