Ray Spivey

Mr. Spivey was born in Baxley Ga., July 27, 1947 to the late Billy Ray Spivey, and Margie Ruth Rouse. He had been a resident of Brunswick for 63 years. He is a graduate of Glynn Academy, class of 1965, and retired from Bellsouth. Mr. Spivey also coached little league softball and baseball at Ballard for many years. We were all so blessed to have Ray in our lives. Ray unconditionally loved his family and friends, and will be missed dearly.

Ray is preceded in death by his father Billy Ray Spivey and his son Chris Spivey.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty eight years Marcia Spivey. His son Steven Spivey, his mother Margie Spivey, sister Michelle Spivey-Salazar, brother Kelly Spivey, sister-in law Cindy Spivey, grandchildren Chelsea, Madison, and Bailey Spivey, great-grandchild Conor Ray Sams, and his little dog Poncho.

The funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017, with family receiving friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a closed casket visitation, at the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave., Brunswick, Ga, with the Rev. Keith Burch officiating., Entombment will follow at Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick.
