Ray A. (Mike) Stephens

Ray Alick Stephens, 56, of Brunswick, Ga., passed away Thursday May 5, 2011, at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. Family will receive friends Saturday May 7, 2011, from 6 PM. until 8 PM. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave, Brunswick, GA

Graveside services will be conducted 1 PM. Tuesday May 10, 2011 at Wofford ‘s Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in White Georgia, with Reverend Scott Crowder officiating. Interment will follow the service.

Mike was a native of White, Georgia, born January 21, 1955, to the late Jennie Josephine Shepard Stephens, and the late Frank Edward Stephens. Mike had been a resident of Glynn County for 10 years. He graduated from Cass High School, and retired from Georgia Power after 38 years as a lineman. Mike enjoyed many activities such as golfing, fishing, boating and airplane piloting. He was also a member of the White First Baptist Church. Mike leaves many fond memories behind, and will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include: his wife, Sherre V. Stephens of Brunswick, two sons; Nicholus A. Stephens of White, GA, and Matthew Stephens of Brunswick, GA. He is also survived by two aunts, cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
