Rebecca Jones Holt, passed away at the age of 97 on Wednesday, the 4th of April 2018 while under the care of Pruitt Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jasper GA. She was born in Atlanta, GA the 26th of December 1920, to the late William John Jones and the late Mary Cooper Jones.
Rebecca was a member the First United Methodist Church in Brunswick, GA and was employed as secretary to the Superintendent at Epworth By the Sea from 1982-2008.
In addition to Rebecca’s parents she is preceded in death by her husband LeRoy West Holt. She is survived by her children Pamela Holt Colvin and husband Tom of Canton, GA, LeRoy W. Holt, Jr.(Buddy) of Cumming, GA; four grandchildren, Rob Colvin, David Colvin, Emily Holt, and Will Holt; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha J. Watson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at PruittHeath and Rehabilitation Center in Jasper, GA, PruittHealth Hospice of Blue Ridge GA, and Dr. Kathryn Neely, Harmony Family Medicine.
Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, the 7th of April 2018,at Palmetto Cemetery, 3412 Ross Rd., in Brunswick, where Dr. Wright Culpepper is to officiate. Burial to follow the service.
The family has requested that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to Epworth By the Sea or the charity of one's choice.
