Rhonda McGuire

Rhonda McGuire, 55, of Brunswick, GA, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. A Celebration of Rhonda’s life will held 5 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Legg officiating.

Mrs. McGuire is a lifelong native of Brunswick, GA, born the 8th of July 1959, to Hazel Ammons Anderson and the late Lloyd E. Grimes. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and received her Master of Arts in Teaching: Special Education from Georgia Southern. She has been a special education teacher at Goodyear Elementary School for the last several years.

Survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Dana McGuire of Brunswick, GA; her children Matthew McLeod of Roswell, GA, Scott McLeod of Atlanta, GA, and Amanda Battles of Statesboro, GA; mother and step-father Hazel and James Anderson of Brunswick, GA; granddaughter Madison McLeod of Roswell, GA; two brothers Stephen Grimes of Brunswick, GA, and Stan Grimes of San Francisco, CA; she is also survived by three nieces Amy and Allison Grimes of Edna, TX and Stephanie Grimes of Alexandria, VA.
