

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 2-4:00 PM. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Father Alan M. Akridge officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers serving during the service will be Ray Moody, Jennings Overstreet, Rudy Ogden, and all members of the masonic lodge 717 F.A.M. of Brunswick, Georgia.
The burial will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Chapel Park Cemetery with full masonic rites.
Mr. Gregory was a native and lifelong resident of Brunswick, Georgia and the son of the late Ruben Edgar and Lunelle Gregory. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a proud member of Masonic Lodge 717 F.A.M. of Brunswick where he served as master of the lodge in 1968. He was also a member of the York Rite. He was a member of Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church. Richard was retired from Allied Chemical Company with 57 years of employment.
Richard was preceded in death by his late father and mother; Ruben Edgar and Lunelle Gregory; a daughter, Renee L. Gregory; one great- grandchild; a brother, Ronald C. Gregory; one sister, Gwendolyn G. Helmer. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Stella Swango Gregory of Brunswick, GA; two daughters, Cindy Gregory Nolen (Bobby) of Woodbury, TN, Loral Gregory Manning (Donnie) of Brunswick, GA; one son, Barry Steven Gregory of Hortense, GA; two sisters, Shirley Joan Gregory of Tampa, FL, Charlotte Gregory of Charlotte, NC; one Brother, R.E. Gregory of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Richard will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. However, his family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles in his memory.
