Richard Cole Hanson, 49, of Brunswick, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in Glynn County. A memorial service will be held 2PM Monday, August 15, 2011 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Dawson and Rev. Bobby Tatum officiating. Inurnment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born August 1, 1962 in Pierce County, Georgia, Mr. Hanson was raised in Glynn County and attended Brunswick High School. He was a commercial construction worker and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed football and baseball.
Survivors include his mother, Faye Hanson, four children, Heather Marie Hanson, Kimberly Renee’ Hanson, Preston Cole Hanson, and Victor Ray Hanson all of Brunswick, seven grandchildren, a brother, Stephen P. Hanson and a sister, Donna L. Hanson both of Brunswick, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
