Rev. Robert Eugene Elliott

Rev. Elliott was a native of Wayne County and had been a resident of Brunswick for most of his life. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy, Class of 1964. He was a Minister and member of the United Pentecostal Church and was retired from CSX railroad after 30 years. He was Director of Anger Management for the State of Georgia and was a volunteer with the Brunswick Police Dept.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Sadie Elliott and a brother, Jerry Elliott.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Dixon Elliott of Brunswick, a daughter, Gina Elliott of Brunswick, three sons, Robbie Elliott of Jesup, GA, David Elliott of Brantley County, GA, Daniel Elliott of Brunswick, a sister, Jerrell Johnson of Wayne County, Ga., 10 grandchildren, Amber Elliott, Robert Elliott, III, Joyce Elliott, Jasmine Elliott, Cassie Elliott, D. J. Elliott, Jonathan Elliott, Madison Grooms, Summer Elliott and Malachi Elliott, four great grandchildren, Trinity Wilson, Navaeh Elliott, Anna Elliott, and Alley Lynn and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 6, 2010 in the United Pentecostal Church in Brunswick with Rev. H. E. Wheatly and Rev. Danny Gasser officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Tyre, Joe Stephens, Michael Dixon, Leonard Poole, Alexander Dixon and Allen Ricks. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Guy.

The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 6 to 9 PM Friday and request those wishing may make contributions to the United Pentecostal Church, 5608 New Jesup Highway, Brunswick, Ga., 31525.
