

Robert Allyn Fell, 77, of Brunswick, GA., passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 peacefully at his residence. Memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the St. Simon's United Methodist Church, with Reverend Benji Varnell and Reverend Tom Dent officiating. A reception will follow the service.
Mr. Fell was born January 2, 1933 in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Dr. Harvey Lewis Fell and the late Harriet Talley Fell. He had been a resident of Glynn County for the past twenty one years.Mr. Fell was a graduate of Sanford Preparatory School in Wilmington, DE., and the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT.
Mr. Fell was employed as a comptroller for 20 years at Buster Brown Textiles and 10 years at Bonnie Doone Hosiery. He also did accounting for the WMOG and The International Seafarers' Center where he also was on the Seafarers' Center Board of Directors.
Mr. Fell served on the Glynn County Zoning Appeals Board and the Glynn County Planning Commission. He was a member of the Maritime Club, Navy League, St. Simon's United Methodist Church, and a veteran of U.S. Navy.
In addition, to Mr. Fell’s parents he is preceded in death by his brother Harvey Lewis Fell, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Byra W. Fell of Brunswick, GA., two sons Mark Allyn Fell and wife Kathleen of Brunswick, GA., and Glenn Whitesell Fell and wife Sherry of Davie, FL.,, a daughter Linda Fell Johnston and husband Scott of Monroe, CT., his sister Jane Fell Hill of Atlanta, Georgia, eight grandchildren Sarah, Emily, and Claire Fell all of Brunswick, GA., Paxton and Bailey Fell both of Davie, FL., and Lindsey, Taylor, and Samantha Johnston all of Monroe, CT, and two nieces and two nephews.
