Robert Earl Harris

Robert “Bob” Earl Harris, age 85, of Sea Island, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Abercorn Rehab Center in Savannah, Georgia. Bob was the son of the late Charles Henry and the late Mabel Martin Harris.

Bob attended the Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia and also served his country with honor in the United States Navy for 21 years. After his retirement from the Navy, he became a Director of Railway Services with Auto Train. Bob was a very kind hearted and giving man that loved his family. He never met a stranger. He loved playing cards and backgammon.

Bob is survived by his half-sisters, Charlotte and Virginia MacKenzie. His sons; Charles Joseph, Robert Jefferson Harris; daughters; Robin Harris, Dary, Nancy Lee Harris; step-sons; Michael Hogan, David Hogan, Andy Jackson. Grandchildren; Jonathan Molihan, Justin Maulden, Brooke Maulden, Erin Dary, Laura Harris McCloud, Christina Harris Miller. Great grandchildren; Hailey, Abigail, Ryleigh Molihan, Silas and Kamberlyn Maulden, Lexi and Timothy McCloud, Caselyn and Jaelyn Miller.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry and Mabel Martin Harris; his siblings, Charles E., Donald A. Harris; stepmother, Louise Harris.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
