Robert “Randy” Randall Spaulding, age 71, of Brunswick, Georgia entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. Randy, as he was affectionately known, was born in Macon, Georgia the son of the late Robert Lee Spaulding Jr. and the late Dorothy Louise Spaulding. He was also preceded in death by his son, Zak Spaulding; and a sister, Elaine Spaulding Moore.
Randy was a 1969 Glynn Academy graduated and played on the baseball and basketball teams. He also earned his associates Degree from Brunswick College (currently College of Coastal Georgia). He went to work with Hercules Corporation and retired after 32 years of dedicated employment. Randy then had a successful career with Crane Institute of America as a Training Specialist. His job led him to travel worldwide, which he enjoyed immensely. He enjoyed his retirement golfing with his friends, spending time with his family and friends, and traveling. He was a perfectionist and a fun-loving man whom never met a stranger. He was also very athletic and an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brunswick.
Left to cherish Randy’s memories are his loving wife, Maria Spaulding: his two daughters, Jennifer Spaulding and Lee Callaghan; his grandchildren, Bella Shields, A.J., Ryan, and Evan Callaghan, and Lily Northington; two sisters, Paula Spaulding and Jan Spaulding Pearce (Eric); three brother-in-laws, Ted Moore, Jeff Luke (Shannon), and Stuart Fowler (Shannon); a sister-in-law, Kathy Kicklighter (Jimmy). Several nieces and nephews also survive. Randy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends between 10:00 – 10:30 AM Friday, April 29, 2022 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The Memorial Service to honor his life will begin at 10:30 AM in The Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Chris Winford officiating. You are cordially invited to join the family in celebrating Randy’s life which impacted so many.
