

Robin Ann Moore Bell, 68, of St. Simons Island, GA passed away Tuesday the 22nd of July 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Bell was born December 10, 1946 in Macon, GA to the late Robert Lee Moore and the late Anne Adel Adams Moore. She grew up in Gainesville, GA and graduated from Gainesville High School in 1964. She attended Stephens College where she received her Associate of Arts in 1966. She then transferred to the University of Georgia where she received her B.S. in Education in 1968, followed by an M.S. in Education in 1969 and then received a Specialist in Education degree in 1970.
Mrs. Bell began her teaching career at the University of South Florida in Tampa in 1971. She then moved to Sligh Junior High School in Tampa from 1971-1972. She later transferred to Aquinas High School in Augusta, GA in 1972 where she taught until 1976. Mrs. Bell began teaching at Brunswick High School in Brunswick, GA in 1979 and remained there until she moved to Frederica Academy on Saint Simons Island in 1985 and taught until 1989. Mrs. Bell married Dr. Lee Augustus Bell of Millen, GA on July 1, 1972. She resided on St. Simons Island for 38 years, and was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica.
Mrs. Bell is survived by husband Lee Augustus Bell of St. Simons Island, GA; a son Lee Augustus Bell, Jr., his wife Anne Rhodes Bell; and two grandchildren Lee Augustus Bell, III (Gus) and Gray Coughlin Bell all of Nashville, TN.
Robin was an avid reader and an accomplished duplicate bridge player.
Family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Golden Isles Duplicate Bridge Club, or to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
Visitation will be held at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 5 p.m.. to 7 p.m., on Sunday , July 27, 2014.
