Dan Cheatham, age 71, of St. Simons Island, died peacefully at home Thursday, November 27, 2014. Dan graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and Huntington College in Montgomery, AL. He was retired from AFC Enterprises as an Executive Buyer and consulted for several major restaurant chains throughout the US. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick.
He is survived by his wife, Leighann Woods Cheatham of St. Simons Island; two children, Greg Cheatham of Asheville, NC and Beth Cheatham of Atlanta, GA, and two grandsons, Sam and Pete Cheatham.
Dan enjoyed a good game of golf, was a avid Auburn fan, loved his rescued dogs and was a good friend to all.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Peter Vivenzio officiating.
Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
