Ronald Allen Bluestein

Mr. Bluestein was a lifelong resident of Brunswick, Georgia. He was the son of the late Herman “Bubba” E. Bluestein and the late Eloise Bluestein. He was married to Gay Tanner Bluestein, his caring wife of forty- four years. They were blessed with three children and three grandchildren. He was the co - owner of Sportsman Package Store and the Grog Shoppe. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1969 and an active member in the Little Tiger Hunting Club.

The family will receive friends at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, May 2, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 -6:00 PM. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held in Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 6:00 PM with the Reverend Jay Hanson officiating.

The honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Bluestein’s longtime friends of the Glynn Academy Class of 1969 and the members of Little Tiger Hunting Club.

Mr. Bluestein was preceded in death by his parents, Herman “Bubba” E. Bluestein and Eloise Bluestein. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gay Tanner Bluestein of Brunswick, GA; two sons, Eric Bluestein ( Lauren) of Claxton, GA and Brian Bluestein (Amanda) of Chapin, SC; one daughter, Ashley Bluestein of Brunswick, GA; three grandchildren, Maggy, Tanner, and Elena Bluestein; two sisters, Joan Thigpen ( Buddy) and Sally Andrews (Mike); a brother, Phillip Bluestein (Fredia). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Bluestein was a loving husband, father, and papa. He also was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to spend time with his family and treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. However, his family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ronald Allen Bluestein’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the charitable organization of your choice.
