Rubye H. Lamore

Rubye H. Lamore, 90, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. A visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6-8PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 3PM at St. William Catholic Church on Saint Simons Island with Msgr. Kenneally officiating. Burial will be Monday August 13, 2012 at 2 PM at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery in Macon GA.

Rubye was born on May 29, 1922 to the late Lee Hamilton and Eva Bea Hamilton in Milan, Georgia. She served in the Army Core during World War II and she enjoyed reading. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She also loved meeting new people and was a great conversationalist. She loved her cats, genealogy, gardening, crossword puzzles, walking and she appreciated nature, especially her back yard pond.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Floyd Wesley Lamore, Sr. and two brothers: Aubrey and John Hamilton.

She is survived by her daughter: Lori Lamore Launi of Brunswick, GA; a step son: Floyd Wesley Lamore, Jr. of Pinellas Park, FL; four grandchildren: MaryAnna, Andrew, Thomas and Elizabeth; a sister in law: Iris Hamilton and several other relatives.
