William Earl Dunn, 90, passed away at Hospice of the Golden Isles on June 3, 2016. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, he had resided in Brunswick since 1985. Mr. Dunn graduated from East High School and Finlay Engineering in Kansas City before attending Washington University in St. Louis and serving in the United States Army Air Force.

He was a faithful member of the Exchange Club of Brunswick and the First Baptist Church of Brunswick. The church ministry he enjoyed most was serving as a greeter at the Educational Building’s children’s entrance watching them grow and their cute responses.
An avid golfer, he especially enjoyed his friends at Glynco Golf Course. His parabolic roller putter was one of his many wood creations that was officially approved by the United States Golf Association as a legal putter. Racing formula and sports cars in closed track racing qualified him for national participation. His love for the lathe and exotic woods led him to create many household items.
