Willie Wilson Trimmins

Willie Wilson Trimmins, 97, of Brunswick, departed this life Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Born December 12, 1925 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Relious James and Hattie Elizabeth D. Wilson, she was a lifelong resident of Glynn County. Mrs. Trimmins was the owner of Willie’s Beauty Shop, and was a member of Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed traveling, and was very involved in church activities, spending time with family and cooking. Mrs. Trimmins and her husband were the owners of Sho-Glo Shoe Shine Parlor for many years in downtown Brunswick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Kerex Trimmins, three brothers, Relious James Wilson, Jr., John Wilson, and Charles Wilson, and four sisters, Margaret Kinsey, Marian Lee, Sophia Shuman, and Sadie Dawson.

Survivors include five children, Brenda Anderson and husband John, Sherril Hutcherson both of Brunswick, Howard Trimmins, Jr. and wife Myla of Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Kenneth Trimmins and wife Florence of Bonaire, GA, and Harriet Smith and husband Roddy of Brunswick, thirteen grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a sister, Carolyne Sutton and husband Nehemiah of Albany, GA, and a sister in law, Maxine Wilson of Sacramento, CA and Mary Trimmins of Brunswick, GA, several nieces and nephews.
