

Wilma Lee Turner, 89, of Brunswick, departed this life Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Monday, August 7, 2017 at Lakeside United Methodist Church in Brunswick with Rev. Don Combs officiating. Private interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with Justin Dixon, Cameron Gleaton, Ryan Gleaton, Austin Turner, Brookie Carter and Bruce Wood serving as pallbearers.
Born July 21, 1928 in High Point, North Carolina to the late Brice M. and Edith Grace F. Lee, she was a homemaker and had also worked for Jane Macon School in the cafeteria. Mrs. Turner had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 56 years, and was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was much loved by her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Hughes Turner who was retired US Navy, and a sister Estelle Welch.
Survivors include two children, Sandy Dance and husband Martyn, and Stanley Turner of Brunswick, 5 grandchildren, Cameron Gleaton, Ryan Gleaton, Lindsey Harris, Allie Dance Dixon, and Austin Turner, three great grandchildren, and two brothers , Tommy Lee and Doug Lee both of High Point, NC.
The family will receive friends Monday August 7, 2017 from 1PM until the funeral hour at Lakeside United Methodist Church. Edo Miller and Sons is in charge of arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
