She and her husband were the first to bring Middle Eastern food to Calgary in their restaurants; Jerusalem, Highwayman and Paradise Restaurant. Aida was very busy raising her children and creating her own desserts. She was an amazing cook and liked to entertain her family and friends.
Aida is lovingly remembered by her son Gaby (Nebal), granddaughters; Jocelynn (Behrooz), Joleen (Htoozaw), Elayne (Alex); great grandchildren Hamilton and Gwen; daughter Soraya (Robb); son Hany, brother Samir (Julia) as well as numerous relatives in Canada and Israel. She predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2019.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend George Diab officiating.

Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
