To the Maione family: I was unaware of this digital book. When I heard of Mr. Maione's passing I was sad, sad for many reasons, sad because he was part of our growing up days in High School, sad becfause he came to our door many times with dinner, sad because Mr. Maione was simply a very nice, kind and gentle man,  over the last couple of years I got to get reacquainted with the family and realized that not much had changed - you're all still a warm and hospitable group, family, no doubt simply reflecting Mr. Maione's personality. we were very sad to find out on the passing of Antonio. My wife Maria and I always remember our times at Gino's pizza when he would always come with a smile to say hello and share stories with us or wherever we would run into each other.  Our deepest sympathies and thoughts go out to all of you.  We are sorry that we could not attend the services as we were away at the time.  I would like to pass on condolences from my parents, Antonio and Carmela who also are out of country at the moment. My good neighbour who although somewhat shy always had time to stop and chat with me. We met later in life and I am honoured that he considered me his friend. I'll miss his stories about Italy and his days in the Carbonari. Rest well my friend!

Dear Marianna, Maria & Mike, Enza & family, & Florence, & Grandchildren,

I am very sad to read of your Husband/Dad/Grandpa's obituary, I know he was a very special man within your family and how your hearts must be breaking.  I have very fond memories of Claudio and I, along with Mike and Maria, sharing the staff's special booth at Gino's Pizza years ago and enjoying lots of wonderful Italian food and genuine warm company filled with laughs. I still recall the wisdom and business savvy that Tony shared about his principles to being successful and how to work hard and invest those riches in real estate, and essentially build your own empire. I recall his unwavering devotion to his lovely wife, Marianna, and his treasured girls, Maria, Enza, and Florence, and how he demonstrated daily the epitome of being a good and decent and committed family man. I have no doubt he was an equally devoted Grandfather too. Though I haven't had the pleasure of his company for a few decades, he made quite an impact on me and my recently deceased husband. I am glad that I have known him in my life. My heart is breaking for you all.
