Bettie Marie Murphy

Bettie raised eight children; Tom (Sandy) Murphy of North Carolina, James (Hilary) Murphy of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Patricia (Larry) Marlow of Calgary, Alberta, Sheryl (Rick) Kerr of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Cindy (Stuart) Angle of Bow Island, Alberta, Wendy (Darren) Edwards of Calgary, Alberta, Peggy (Real) Murphy of Edmonton, Alberta, and Donna (Gerry) Bergman of Calgary, Alberta. She was Grandma to twenty grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Murphy, her daughter Donna Bergman, her infant daughter Rosemarie, her son in-law Larry Marlow, her grandson Dominic Lansard and her infant great-grandson Tyler. Bettie loved her children dearly, especially her grandchildren who knew and fondly called her “Grandma Duck”. She was full of patience and somehow knew or found out what we were up to. We will miss her sense of compassion and love she had for children. She was loved by many friends and we will celebrate her life and find comfort in knowing she is dancing in the sky.
