

Betty was born on November 23, 1932, to humble beginnings in Belmont Lot 16, Prince Edward Island. The daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Simmons. Betty was known for her incredible crafting skills, her love of baking, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Betty had a special way of making people feel cared for, whether through her handmade creations or something delicious from her kitchen. Betty and Paul spent all their married life in Dartmouth NS, where Betty worked as the office manager at the Glubes furniture store for 27 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Paulette Fornataro (Gord) and Deborah Muggah (Peter); her granddaughters Krista Brilz (Tyson) and Alyssa Weichel (Rob); her granddaughter-in-law Mendee Hunt; her great-grandsons, Marcus, Matthew, and TJ. As well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Revere (Paul) Muggah; and her grandsons Jason Troy Muggah and Kurt Weichel; as well as seven siblings.
Betty will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the love she shared so freely with her family. She had the most beautiful smile and quite the sense of humour. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and cherished memories.
Donations may be made in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Society. Internment for Betty and Paul will take place at a later date in Calgary, Alberta.
