

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Jan Woo. He will be dearly missed by his two wonderful sons William and John; his deeply caring brothers and sister Gary, Tom, and Alison; and his nephews and nieces Patrick, Atom, Jade, and Kiata. He was predeceased by his devoted parents Peter and Seu Fong, whose memory he held deeply and lovingly in his heart.
Billy was a proud graduate of the University of Calgary, Banff Centre, and SAIT. He was an exceptional artist whose creativity and talent shone through his oil paintings, sculptures, videos, and photography. His work captured life’s beauty and energy, much like the way he lived each day – with passion and curiosity.
Affectionately known for his boundless energy and enthusiasm for life. He was an outstanding athlete, a sportsman to the core, and a true outdoor adventurer. Whether skiing down pristine slopes, ocean kayaking along rugged coastlines, or cycling through breathtaking landscapes, Billy lived with a spirit of exploration that touched everyone around him.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends – fellow adventurers who shared so many wonderful journeys and memories with him. Billy’s artistry, strength, and passion for life will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
Internment will follow immediately after at Eden Brook Cemetery, 24223 Township Rd 242, Calgary.
