Brenda Kay Gulajec

Brenda Kay Gulajec (nee Fediuk) passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the age of 68 years. Brenda was born in Edmonton, Alberta on March 23, 1957 and was the only sister to three brothers.

Brenda is lovingly remembered by her three children, Nicholas (Jennifer), Michael (Katie), Trevor (Amanda) and her granddaughter Abigail, who Brenda says had her whole heart.

Brenda loved the outdoors, whether that was working the family farm in her younger years, sightseeing around the Calgary Zoo or long walks in Victoria, BC.

Throughout her children’s early years, Brenda was actively involved at their school, volunteering for field trips, arts and crafts, and helping create costumes for school plays. Helping children grow and show new ways to learn was always a passion of hers.

In 1998, Brenda started working for the Calgary Catholic School Board as an education assistant and continued to do so with a fierce passion until her passing day.

For those wishing to pay their respects, a Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220-4 Street N.W., Calgary on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Gabriel Arihi officiating.

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Project Kampfire, where they empower youth to explore, think critically, connect with their communities, and to make the most of life for themselves and others.
