Caroline was born on March 16, 1927 in Westlock, Alberta. She grew up working hard on a homestead and attended a one-room schoolhouse in Sunnybank. She graduated from the Royal Alexandra Hospital in 1949 as a Registered Nurse, supporting Jim as he completed his education. Caroline spent years at home raising her children and cared deeply for them. She returned to nursing later in life. She was always very hospitable, an avid gardener, and quilter even in her later years. She created beauty in the world through her handwork, pies and her genuine interest in others. Caroline visited the elderly, babysat little ones, traveled the world, grew the most wonderful raspberries, and rarely had an idle moment. She enjoyed helping others in her community and around the world. Caroline was a long time member of Bethany Chapel and leaves behind many dear friends.
A private family memorial reception will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
