Caterina Reale Bryce

Caterina was the loving spouse of the late Charlie Bryce who passed away in 1996. Born in Sant’Andrea del Garigliano, Italy, she moved to Canada in 1960. She leaves to mourn her only daughter, Medi Bryce-Lund (Darren) and her precious grandchildren, Stefan and Tatiana. Also left to mourn are her treasured extended Carelli family, her stepchildren Hugh, Jack, and Marion, and their families. Caterina was predeceased by her parents, her infant son, Raffaele, and her dearest sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Domenico Carelli. She leaves siblings and many family and friends to mourn, both in Canada and abroad. Caterina lived a fulfilled life with her family, spent many summers on the orchard in Keremeos, and retired to Pentiction. She enjoyed her friends at Pinecrest Foods where she worked for over 20 years. We will miss our Nonna’s sparkling blue eyes, generous and independent spirit, selfless devotion to family and friends, and loving concern for all. Her family thanks the warm and dedicated staff at the Bethany Harvest Hills Long Term Care facility.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 1:30 p.m., at Ascension Roman Catholic Parish, 1100 Berkshire Blvd N.W., Calgary, AB with a tribute program and time of fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to The Bethany Society, 1001 – 17 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 2E5, or to the charity of one’s choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
